Democrats Short On Convention Funds

The Democratic Party is way short of the $40 million it needs to cover its national convention in Denver.
To date, the Democrats are about $15 million short. Conversely, the Republican Party is on track to meet its budget, according to The New York Times.
Dem party leaders say not to worry yet, they'll make their goals and plan a new round of sponsor packages.

Convention funds
It's not just the political parties. The mainstreet media also is having a hard time coming up with the funds to cover the conventions during the current advertising slowdown.
As bloggers Ballyhoo their new access to press credentials, they should note that they're replacing MSM reporters who won't be attending. One reason the MSM editors are forgoing the conventions in greater numbers is the lack of actual news coming out of them. There was plenty of talk, talk, talk at the ones I've covered -- which is the material the bloggers thrive on -- but there was little news at them.
If the Democrats don't have enough money, maybe no one will notice.
