Fair Tax Plan

Why is the Fair Tax Plan (H.R.25 and S.1025) not in the national headlines? Do you know there is an alternative to the complex, non-compliant, unbalanced federal revenue generating system? You owe it to yourself, your children and grandchildren to investigate The FairTax Plan. Go to www.fairtax.org and/or read Neal Boortz and congressman John Linder's 'The FairTax Book'.

The Federal Income Tax Code was created in 1913. During the next 95 years lobbysts and politicians have amended, added to and changed the Code to favor one group or another. Now we have a very complex code that many can not understand, some are intiminated to pay too much, and some have learned non-compliance goes unpunished. Yet we accept it as a necessary evil.

I will admit, it is a major step to advocate changing to a new and unproven system. I have had federal income taxes withheld from my pay for some 40+ years. Then at the beginning of each year, I had to study information and instructions, gather my records, and file complicted forms to determine if I was due a refund or pay additional monies. It was a nightmare to determine the most beneficial investment(s) for retirement.

How many of you believe you pay a fair amount of taxes? How many of you believe the other guy pays his fair share? How many people do not pay taxes (illegal income, non residents, unreported income)? How much is embedded (taxes and tax compliance costs) in the retail price of an item that is paid by businesses, manufactures, and corporations?

The Fair Tax Plan was written by economists and is currently supported/co-sponsored by many congressman. It will take an active and energetic grassroots effort to convince many more congressman to co-sponsor H.R. 25 and S. 1025. Only then will these bills be brought out of committee and discussed and voted on by the full House and Senate.

It is time we demand the Federal Income Tax Code be abolished, tax everyone fairly and without exception, protect the lower income families, bring American businesses and corporations back to the United States and strengthen the Social Security Program for the long term. Investigate The FairTax Plan.
